Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea
card Game
For 2 to 6 Players
During their long undersea voyages, the crew of the "SEAVIEW" relaxes by playing card games. This is one of their favorites.
The cards are in three colors. RED, GREEN, and BLUE,and numbered from "1" to "13". Players try to play a card from their hand onto a discard pile by MATCHING the COLOR or the NUMBER of the last card played. THE OBJECT OF THE GAME is to be the first player to play ALL the cards from his hand. The game is played in ROUNDS, each round winner scoring points. 21 points wins the game.
RULES
1. One player, the dealer, shuffles and deals 6 cards to each player, one at a time going clockwise. The remaining cards are plaed, numbered side down, on the table as a DRAW PILE.
2. The player to the left of the dealer begins by playing ANY card from his hand, numbered side up, in the enter at the table. This STARTS the DISCARD PILE.
3. Each players, in turn (clockwise), tries to play ONE card from his hand onto the discard pile. A card may be played if it matches the same COLOR ... or ... if it matches the same NUMBER as the TOP card of the discard. For example, if the top discard is "BLUE 2", a BLUE card of ANY NUMBER may be played ... or the "RED 2" or "GREEN 2" card may be played.
4. If a player ANNOT match the top card, he must draw a card from the top of the DRAW PILE. If that card matches (either color or number, he may play it immediately. If not, he must keep it and his turn ends.
5. Turns continue as in Rules 3 and 4, until one player has discarded his LAST CARD. This ends the ROUND and that player wins ONE POINT FOR EACH CARD held in his opponents' hands. A card counts one point, regardless of its number.
6. If the draw pile is used up before the round is over, shuffle the discard pile (except for the top card) to start a new draw pile.
7. New rounds are played as above, with players taking turns as dealer.
8. Players add any point they may win each round. The first player to total a score of 21 (or more) points is the WINNER of the game.
